Arlene Mcloughlin has been painting unique wall murals on Long Island for over twenty years. Arlene painted her first mural while attending grade school at St. Boniface School in Elmont. She went on to graduate with a B.FA from the Fashion Institute of Technology .Trained as a Fine Artist , Arlene gets her inspiration from years of working in NYC , a strong background in Art History and her passion to travel. While Arlene enjoyed the excitement of working in NYC as a Fashion Illustrator, she longed for the creative freedom that comes with running her own painting studio .Arlene started the mural studio in 1997, painting commissioned work. She has studied with some of the finest decorative artists in the country including Sean Crosby,Nicola Vigini, Florence Art studio, School of Italian Plasters and Linda Marstellar Master Lime Plasterer. The Studio Artisans are certified Lime Plasterers as well as SKIM STONE certified applicators . Arlene and her staff of professionally trained artisans exude enthusiasm and creativity, some of their areas of expertise include Custom Murals, Fine Italian Plasters, Furniture Decoration,and Skim Stone Decorative Concrete .
